AFAM Self-Cleaning Front Sprockets are built for motocross and off-road riding, where mud, sand and grit can quickly damage drive components. In deep ruts or loose terrain, debris packs between the sprocket teeth and drive chain, creating harmful over-tension that speeds up wear. To address it, AFAM machines evacuation grooves on both sides at the base of each tooth. As the sprocket rotates, these channels push mud and sand outward before buildup can take hold, helping maintain proper chain tension and reduce stress on the transmission.
