Biltwell Gringo SV Shield

Description

Although similar in shape to the original Gringo shields, the new Gringo SV takes a new part number with revised hinge detents and a new clasp mechanism. The old 3/8″ snap is gone, replaced by a simple brass bung built into the shell of the helmet that these shields snap onto.

• Every shield color and style provides 91% UV/A and 99% UV/B light resistance based on AATCC-138 test standard
• Anti-fog treatment on shield interior fights moisture build-up from breathing and humidity 

These shields are offered in clear, light smoke, dark smoke, and chrome, and separately in a pinlock version with a transitions-style pinlock called ProtecTINT, which transitions from clear to dark depending on the ambient sunlight. 

The pinlock ProtecTINT version is available here, and includes both a clear shield + a ProtecTINT pinlock insert that comes pre-installed from the factory. This offers fog-free riding that automatically adapts to changing light conditions. Alhotugh note it won’t get as dark as the Dark Tint shield.
