Bowtex Elite Women’s Armored Shirt – AAA Rated

The AAA Bowtex Elite Shirt brings the same AAA abrasion resistance from the men’s model, which has been a best seller for years, and gives it a true women’s specific cut, with a relatively shorter length, slimmer sleeves and a more tailored waist.

We think Bowtex AAA Elite layers should be a staple of any rider’s closet. These discrete under layers offer supercharged protection thanks to the scientifically proven abrasion-resistant Dyneema material, as well as the integrated Level 2 armor. 

Pair with the matching Bowtex women’s leggings for head-to-toe AAA-rated protection.

Not included in the purchase price: the optional back protector, available in Level 1 or Level 2.  The optional chest armor is not included, either, but the Elite shirt comes with ready pockets for it.

Note: Bowtex offers other variations of this same basic premise with slightly lighter weight material, at a slightly less expensive price point, but with a correspondingly less protective “AA” safety rating.

We don’t think the lower-spec AA model is worth stocking, and our money is on this AAA Elite version for its significantly superior protection in the event of a slide.
