Carburetor Gasket & O-Ring Kit | Honda CB175 / CL175 / CB200

Dried-out gaskets and hardened O-rings are the most common cause of fuel leaks and vacuum leaks on the Keihin slide carburetors used on the Honda CB175, CL175, SL175, CB200, and CL200. This kit replaces every soft seal in one carburetor — float bowl gasket, slide cover gasket, intake O-rings, and sealing washers — so you can stop the leaks without replacing the brass and steel internals.

Why You Need This

After decades of sitting, the original rubber gaskets and O-rings in your Keihin carburetors harden, shrink, and crack. The float bowl gasket leaks fuel. The intake O-rings allow air leaks that make the bike run lean. The slide cover gasket deteriorates and lets dirt in from the top. Replacing these seals is the first step in any carburetor service — and often all you need to get a sitting bike running again.

Note: Kits are sold individually. Your bike has two carburetors — you need two kits to service both.

  • Float bowl drain plug O-ring (late-style carbs)

Early vs. late drain plug: Earlier carburetors use a small-head drain screw with an aluminum crush washer. Later carburetors use a large-head drain screw sealed with an O-ring. This kit includes both styles so you are covered regardless of which version your carbs have.

Installation

Difficulty: Beginner — if your carbs are already off the bike and cleaned

1. Remove the carburetors from the bike and disassemble — remove the float bowl, slide cover, and all old gaskets and O-rings.
2. Clean the carburetor body thoroughly. Every passage and jet must be spotless before reassembly.
3. Install the new float bowl gasket, slide cover gasket, intake O-rings, and sealing washers from this kit.
4. Use a drop of oil on each O-ring during installation to help them seat properly and prevent pinching.
5. Set the float height to 21 mm before reinstalling the float bowl.
6. Reassemble and reinstall the carburetors on the bike.

Do not overtighten brass fittings. The carburetor body is a soft zinc-aluminum casting — thread the drain plug and float needle seat until you feel them snug, then stop.
