The factory Phillips screws on your points and timing plate are probably stripped, rounded, or rusted in place — making every timing adjustment a fight. This stainless steel allen head screw set replaces all the factory hardware with hex-drive bolts that you can actually grip and adjust. Complete set with washers. Does not include plate or points.

Tools needed: 3mm and 5mm hex keys, Phillips screwdriver (to remove old screws)

1. Remove the points cover from the left side of the engine.
2. Remove the factory Phillips screws from the points and timing plate one at a time, replacing each with the corresponding allen head bolt and washer.
3. Snug the new bolts — do not overtighten.
