Dimensions

These share the 16mm upper eye and M8 clevis with our factory-style CB175 / CB200 shocks. The bigger CB350–CB550 Ikon shocks use a larger M10 clevis — a different lower mount.

Note — chain guard: The Basic Adjustable shocks will not clear the factory chain guard on the CB175 / CL175 / CB200 / CL200 without modifying or removing it. The Fully Adjustable shocks do clear the chain guard — choose those if you want to keep the stock guard as-is.

Installation

Difficulty: Beginner

Tools needed: A wrench for the 8mm lower bolt and the 10mm upper cap nut.

1. Bolt the shocks on with the eyelet end up and the clevis end down — an 8mm bolt at the bottom, a 10mm cap nut up top.
2. Set the rider sag: with you seated on the bike, the shock should compress about a third of its travel. Adjust the spring preload to get there.
3. On the Fully Adjustable version, match the rebound to the spring position: if the spring is on 3, set the rebound to 3 or 4; spring 2, rebound 2–3; and so on.
