Specifically designed to handle the rigors of on- and off-road riding, the Carlsbad boasts a revamped venting system and maximized mobility. The main chassis is constructed of super tough FPL400 fabric and impact zones are reinforced further with 500D Karbonite Ripstop – as used on the Badlands Pro Jacket.  If you do end up putting the Carlsbad Jacket to the test, Klim’s Crash Protection Guarantee has you covered. Just produce a police report and documentation of damage any time within 5 years of your purchase, and Klim will replace it, no questions asked. 

The Carlsbad zips into a the Carlsbad pant, and comes with the extra zipper strip that can be sewn in to whatever pant you might already own—effectively creating a one-piece design that’ll keep elements out and keep the jacket from riding up in the event of a slide.

It’s no secret who Klim is gunning for with this jacket. We’re perpetual fans of the “Stealth Black” look—which in this case comes with some nice dark gray color-blocking and light gray accents at the zippers. If you’re into matching your BMW or KTM adventure bike, those options are available,too.
